Updating

Mimi wanted to get this cool stuff about me wrote down so she doesn't forget it, and of course, to let all you neat people out there keeping up with this blog know. I went to the Dr. December 12th and had my first 3 shots!!! OW! It really hurt. I'm glad I don't have to go through that too much. Mommy got teary eyed cuz she hated seeing me hurt. I'm all better now though. I weighed 11 lbs. and 2 oz. at my Dr. visit. Yay for me! I'm growing BIG!... on December 16th I slept ALL NIGHT LONG! I went to sleep at 11:00PM and woke up at 7:00AM.... Mommy woke me, she decided it was time for me to eat! :) then December 17th, I laughed out loud for a whole 3 seconds or so!!!... Mommy was so excited she called Mimi at work just to tell her that!... I'm so glad I'm learning to laugh. I'm looking forward to all the many things I will get to laugh at in my lifetime.

Ready for Christmas

Well my first Christmas is just around the corner and I'm so excited about all the pretty lights that have come out of no where. I know I'll be too young to enjoy this Christmas but mommy and daddy think I'm the best Christmas present EVER!!!... I went and had my pictures taken and Mimi will be picking them up Friday and putting them on my blog. I'm going to be spending Christmas with my parents at Mimi's house this year. It should be fun. My mimi's friend got me a winnie the pooh that is in a rocking chair and will rock and tell piglet the night before Christmas story. Mimi and Mommy just laugh because my eyes get big as I watch it rock back and forth. Mommy and Mimi have been singing Christmas songs to me alot. This must be a very special time of year.

Thanksgiving!!!

Well, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I went with mommy and daddy to Arkansas to visit my daddy's side of the family. I met all my relatives on that side and had a good time! My mommy didn't take any pictures though so mimi couldn't put any up this time. I did real good there though and slept alot. I'm back home now and mommy has figured out how to make me smile. She can't seem to get enough of that. :)

Thank you Lord for my family

I'm 6 weeks old now and Wow! This has been a busy weekend! I went with mommy over to my mimi's house. My aunt and cousin came up from Texas so I got to meet them. And I met my great Grandpa. Then today mommy and mimi took me to the mall. I really liked looking at all the lights in the stores. I have started smiling more and even laughed a couple times. My mommy took a really neat picture of me while I was sleeping and it looks like I'm praying (which maybe I really was) My parents take good care of me. My mommy showers me with love ALL the time. She always is telling me how much she loves me. My daddy holds me in his big hands and makes me feel safe. He plays with me alot too. I love my family.

5 weeks old!!

I'm 5 weeks old now, and my mama and mimi say I just keep getting cuter. awww shucks.... :) This weekend I wasn't feeling very well and went to the dr. He said I had a cold. I guess I'll have plenty more of those to come growing up, but mama and daddy cuddle me and try to make me feel better. I got to meet my great grandpa this weekend. He was a lil nervous about holding me cuz I'm such a squirmbug. But the outing was fun except for the long drive in that blasted carseat. I HATE that thing. I go to the Dr. tomorrow, hopefully he will say my cold is getting better. I want to be feeling good for my trip to Arkansas.

I'm one month old TODAY!!!

Wow. Today was really great! I met someone really special today. Mama and Mimi took me to Sapulpa to meet my GREAT-GREAT Grandma!!! She loved my feet :) I got some nice pictures taken with her too. She was happy that we came. I went to the Dr. Thursday and he told Mommy that I weighed 8 lbs and 13 oz. now!! I'm 20 and 3/4 inches long too... I'm getting so big! The Dr. was pleased, so was Mommy. I'm gonna make my first LONG trip at Thanksgiving. I'm going with my parents to meet all of Daddy's side of the family. Mama will have to take lots of pictures so Mimi can tell you all about it on my blog.

Trip to Mimi's House

Me and mommy went to Mimi's Friday for her birthday. First we stopped off at Mimi's work and showed me off to everyone. I was the center of attention cuz I'm cool like that :) We then went to Mimi's and ordered pizza. The grown ups watched scary movies and handed out halloween candy to the trick or treaters and when I wasn't sleepin, poopin, or eatin, I was enjoying watching Mimi and Mama. I didn't get to wear a costume this year cuz I'm just not big enough yet, but I will be next year. I go to the Doctor on November 6th to see how big I'm getting. Mimi will be posting then to let you know my progress. I also think my tearducts started working Friday cuz when Mimi took me out of my carseat my eyes were wet. :) I'm just growing up.

So many firsts and 3 weeks old today.

Today I am 3 weeks old. Now that I've grown more, I got to experience some new things today and yesterday. Yesterday I got the joy of having the dreaded blue weird thing stuck up my nose and tried to suck my little brains out. I didn't like that thing and I told Mommy about it. Today, I learned what a bottle is. I was kinda scared of it at first and didn't really know what to do with it, but then I laid on the pillow the way I lay when Mommy is feeding me and thought I'd give it a try, and I did really good with it. Then Mommy went to the store and left me with Daddy so us guys could have some hangout time. So Daddy fed me like 3 oz and took care of me while Mommy was gone. I think Mommy was glad to get back home though to her lil man... (that's what she calls me). Friday is Halloween and we will be going to see my Mimi. I know she will be taking more pictures then.

The grinch did WHAT with Christmas????

Today me, Mama, and Mimi went to babiesRus and Wal-mart. I did pretty good until Mimi and Mama decided they were going to use me as a guinny pig to try out all the baby slings... it was a really nice day though, and Mimi would just laugh and laugh at some of the faces I made. I can tell she misses me when she doesn't see me for a few days. I'm getting to where I'm staying up a little longer at times and as you can tell in my picture, I can get some really wide eyes going on. Mama bought me a new bath today and I'll get to try it out tonight. Daddy had to work today so I didn't get to see him very much, but as soon as he walks in the door, it's all about ME... :)

2 weeks old today

Wow... that first 2 week went by quick!... So yesterday was exciting. I lost my unbellical cord... YAY! Free from the dark blue hard thing sticking out of my belly! I also have decided that I like my swing very much. I enjoy my bouncy seat somewhat, but the swing is way cooler. I'm doing much better on nursing too. Right now I wake up around 3 times a night and usually one of those times I decide I want to stay awake for a couple hours. This night and day stuff is gonna take some getting used to...

Ooooooo so this is Mimi's house

Today Mommy took me over to Mimi's house. I was kinda cranky though. I think it was because it was my first trip somewhere for a while and I was just kinda out of my element. There was some fun times though and I enjoyed looking around and having Mommy and Mimi sing me silly songs they were making up. I'm home now and Mommy hopes since I stayed up so much today that I will sleep better tonight. We will see about that. Just a little extra note: this was my due date. :) Mommy sure is glad I got here a little earlier than that.

To the doctor I go

Well... I went to the Dr. yesterday. He is a very nice guy but he had to do a little work on my gender which made me cry. It broke mommy's heart, but I'm ok, and by the Dr. doing that, it will help me not to have more work on it later, which could really hurt. I found out that the nurses was off a little bit on my measurement the day I was born. I'm 19 and 3/4" now. They probably got it wrong because my head was a little coned out at time of measurement. The doctor said I'm at 6 lbs. 13 oz. I have gained back to my birth weight fast which pleased him. The doctor prayed for me at the Dr.s office :). That made me and mommy feel really good. My next Dr. appointment is in November. I'm wondering how much I will change between now and then. My Mimi might see me this weekend which means MORE PICTURES... yay! I'm a week and 2 days old today.

Here we go

This is a story about me... My name is Jayven and I'm starting my life now. I was born October 8th, 2008 at 5:13 PM. I weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 20" long. I was born at Tulsa Oklahoma and my parents Codie and Joshua love me VERY much. My Mimi will be monitoring my blogspot and updating it frequently as events happen. I'm so excited to be here. Thank you Jesus for my family and for allowing me to be born in the states where I am free to learn about you and all the wonderful things you have done.... this is where my journey begins :)
